Retreat 18337 – Dumfries, Southern Scotland

Introduction

Set within the stunning countryside of South Scotland on the outskirts of the market town of Dumfries and only slightly further the historic marketing town Castle Douglas. The area plays host to a wealth of fine pubs and restaurants and many picturesque villages and hamlets. There are many attractions in the area for all including Caerlaverock Threave and Drumlanrig castles Robert Burns house numerous golf courses and wildlife reserves. For the more active there are plenty of walking hiking and cycling routes and the famous Seven Stanes mountain bike trail. Solway Firth is within easy reach with 200 miles of spectacular coastline and sandy beaches to visit. Stepping inside the lodge into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge area has comfy seating surrounding the TV and wood burner effect electric fire. The dining area has comfy seating for all guests and the kitchen area is the perfect place to cook up a storm with an electric oven and gas hob fridge/freezer dishwasher and microwave. Leading through to the hallway at the rear of the lodge there is one master double bedroom with TV and en-suite shower and WC and a twin zip-and-link bedroom (which can be made into a super-king-size on request) with a TV. Completing this is the shower room with shower and WC. Venturing outside to the large fully enclosed decking with spacious private hot tub seating area with table and chairs and lovely countryside views. There is ample private parking.
