Introduction

You will be well served with the 40 acres of rugged farm and woodland to the rear of the farm you can gain access onto the waymarked foot paths that will guide you up into the Black Mountains and at the bottom of the driveway you can access the footpath that will guide you onto the Hatterrall ridge where you can join the Offa s Dyke footpath across to the Hay Bluff. LLanthony Priory is just three miles and is steeped in local history. By car you are just seven miles from Hay on Wye where you will follow the hillside pass across the valley before you drop down into the vibrant market town that is famed for books. Other nearby market towns include Abergavenny and Crickhowell all offering farmers markets pubs shops and restaurants brimming with locally sourced produce. For group activities you can arrange horse riding locally canoeing from Glasbury fishing on the Wye cycling and clay shooting (we would recommend you book in advance). The accommodation is well suited to large groups with living accommodation and cooking facilities in the main farmhouse and smaller cottage. The farmhouse is decorated in traditional country style with big cosy sofas and chairs painted brick walls low wooden beams and a huge open fireplace in the farmhouse living room that s a joy to come home to at the end of a day in the fresh air. The property is digital free where guests can digitally detox from emails and social media. The kitchen is well-equipped with an AGA microwave fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is casual dining available within the kitchen along with a more formal dining area which can accommodate 16 guests. The ground floor also offers two double bedrooms and two bathrooms both with shower over bath and WC. The first-floor accommodation offers three double bedrooms. One of the double bedrooms can be accessed via the double bedroom and has a separate spiral staircase to the ground floor. There is a small granary to the side of the main farmhouse that offers a double bedroom with access via the rear courtyard. The Bunk house is perfect for groups and offers a comfortable space with five sets of full-sized bunks beds. Two of these bunk bedrooms are on the ground floor where you can also relax on the sofas in front of the wood burner there is a TV and DVD. There is no kitchen however there is a small work top with microwave kettle and crockery. A wooden set of steps gives access to the mezzanine with two full sized bunk beds. There is a shower room with single shower cubicle three wash hand basins and two WC s. The cottage is a perfect addition and can accommodate seven guests offering a comfortable standard with lounge/diner with sofa s TV and dining table and chairs. A kitchen with electric oven and hob microwave and fridge/freezer. A utility space with washer/dryer. The bathroom is on the ground floor with bath and WC. The first floor offers three bedrooms. One triple with double bed and single one trip with double bed and single and one single room. The farm is set within 40 acres of which you are free to roam. There are plenty of social spaces that surround the buildings with picnic benches. Enjoy the natural spring water sunken hot tub (available at an additional charge) where you can enjoy the views across the valley. Barbecues are actively encouraged either next to the river or closer to the house. Occasional guests can pitch a tent or for a celebration there is a marquee pitch available by arrangement with the owner. There is ample off-road parking and storage for outdoor equipment.
