The town has several interesting historic sites the most notable of which is the wonderful 11th century Norman Castle. Once a walled town vestiges of the West Gate and Old Port Wall still survive. Scenic walks can be enjoyed along the river. If you re feeling lucky head for the famous Chepstow Racecourse which has numerous fixtures throughout the year. You can also enjoy the beauty of both the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean where you can enjoy a range of outdoor activities well-suited to groups. Try climbing abseiling archery kayaking rafting caving and tree-top adventure courses to name but a handful of the options. If you enjoy fishing salmon and trout can be caught locally. Families will enjoy a visit to Raglan Castle and The Big Pit both with events exhibitions and activities to suit children. Set within three acres of established grounds this grade II listed manor house sleeps 26 guests across seven comfortable bedrooms with zip-and-link beds for flexible bedroom arrangements. The ground floor is simply perfect for entertaining with ample space for socialising. Serve yourselves drinks from the adjacent bar where bar stools and a wooden counter make for an authentic experience. Cooking for your guests will be a pleasure in the stunning kitchen with granite-topped island and enough space and equipment to whip up meals for 26 with ease.
