There are walks straight from the front door across the 300 acres of farmland and countryside that surrounds the barn. Situated in the tiny village of Crai spend your days walking among the stunning landscape of the Brecon Beacons National Park including Pen y Fan (12.5 miles) the tallest peak in South Wales. The cathedral town of Brecon (12.5 miles) offers independent stores cafes and restaurants. Hire a narrowboat and meander along the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal on a scenic trip from the town. Mess about on the water at Llangorse Lake (18 miles) where you can hire kayaks and rowboats or test your nerve at the rock climbing centre or on the outdoor zip line course. For a more tranquil adventure step aboard the Brecon Mountain Railway (18 miles) for a nostalgic journey through the stunning landscape on one of their steam trains. Step out of your car and enter the barn where you will find a fabulous open-plan interior designed for socialising and relaxation. Enjoy a morning coffee at the central island looking out across the grounds. Enjoy delicious dinners and conversation at the handmade oak dining table that comfortably seats up to 14 guests. The first of the well-appointed bedrooms is on this level a twin bedroom with two rise and recline beds which can be pushed together to make a super-king (please note they are not zip-and-link beds). This bedroom enjoys a large en-suite wet room with WC. Heading up the contemporary stairs to the first floor you will find three more generous bedrooms all with en-suite facilities. The Oak Room features a magnificent handmade oak four-poster king-size bed set against the exposed brick wall oak dressing table and spacious wardrobe to store your belongings. Indulge in a soak in the en-suite bathroom with corner bath and WC. The Yew Room has a king-size bed with handmade headboard carved from a 1 000-year-old yew tree and has ample storage. There is a sofa bed in this room suitable for one person and a luxurious en-suite shower room with WC. Featuring a king-size bed with walnut headboard The Walnut Room comes with an en-suite shower room and also has a sofa bed that can accommodate one person. French doors lead from the lounge to the outdoor terrace where you will find the covered 15-seater shared swim spa perfect for soaking tired limbs after a long walk in the Brecon Beacons. Fire up the large gas BBQ for a sociable evening meal or enjoy an al fresco lunch on the patio table. The farm has been granted Dark Skies status so lie back and spot the constellations in the clear skies above. There are 300 acres of farmland to explore by arrangement and grazing is available by discussion if guests wish to bring horses. There is ample parking available. Property is on a working farm please ensure children are supervised at all times. The shared swim spa is complimentary, but for guests wanting exclusive use, there will be a charge of 30 for a 2 hour usage. For safety reasons all usage has to be agreed with the owners and there is a curfew of 10pm which has to be strictly adhered to. Owners reserve the right to shut down the spa at any time if essential maintenance is required.. Due to village location there is a zero tolerance policy to noise disturbance and parties. Sleeps 8 2.
