Walk to the 11th-century castle and learn all about the area s past or meander around the old cobbled market square which is a must. Dubbed as the gateway to the Dales Richmond is encompassed by beautiful scenery with the Richmond falls winding its way back to the majestic Aysgarth Falls. Go for a picnic alongside the River Swale or Easby Abbey Walk and stop off at the former station for afternoon tea and a well-deserved slice of cake. The Station is now home to a cinema real ale brewery ice cream parlour and art gallery. The barn which has been thoughtfully renovated is crammed full of character from beamed ceilings to cleverly considered space and encompasses thoughtful luxury touches creating an unforgettable and unique property with everything you need for a romantic trip away. Step inside this welcoming immaculately presented abode. You ll be impressed with the space on offer. The open-plan living area incorporates the lounge/kitchen/diner. Prepare a romantic dinner for two in this generously equipped kitchen featuring an induction hob electric oven fridge/freezer dishwasher and Nespresso machine there is also a washing machine and microwave hidden away in the pantry cupboard. Once your delicious meal has been cooked you can either dine at the breakfast bar or outside on the patio. After dinner stoke the fire on the double-width wood burner and snuggle up to your loved one pick a film to watch on the Smart TV warmed by the flickering flames in front of you. Venture upstairs to the mezzanine floor and dive into the sumptuous king-size bed delve into the pages of a book which is made easy with the bedside reading lights. There are hanging rails for your clothes and storage in the drawers. After a restful night s sleep be refreshed in the rainfall shower ready for another day of adventures or just relax in the luxurious freestanding bath filled with bubbles. Outside the cottage is a large patio with wonderful countryside views which can be accessed from the lounge and via a side path great when returning from a muddy walk to wash your boots and your four-legged companion at the outside tap with hot and cold water. Dine alfresco on the large dining set provided while watching the sun go down. Sink into the hot tub which is particularly inviting at night under the star-filled skies or toast marshmallows over the firepit. There is a shared paddock on the owners grounds that has picnic benches where you can enjoy the surrounding views beyond of the countryside and is also convenient for taking your furry friend out first thing in the mornings and last thing at night. From the paddock there is direct access to a public footpath which leads to an old dis-used railway line. There is off-road parking for two cars.
