The peaceful hamlet of Awre sits close to the banks of the River Severn where guests can enjoy well-waymarked paths from the front door. Situated 8 miles from the heart of the Forest of Dean an area steeped in history natural beauty and offering plenty to see and do.

Hire bikes from Cannop Cycle Centre (9 miles) to explore the forest enjoy paddle boarding at Mallards Pike (6 miles) or test your head for heights at Go Ape (6 miles). Kayaking and climbing can be found at Symonds Yat Rock (14 miles) along with pony trekking. Step back in time with a visit to the Dean Heritage Centre (5 miles) or go underground at Clearwell Caves (10 miles) and Puzzle Wood for ancient woodland with a twist (10 miles).

Set within its own private gardens this charming cottage offers a warm welcome to all that come and stay. Access to the cottage is to the rear and from here guests will have space to leave muddy boots and coats. The ground floor also has a utility room and shower room. The first floor offers guests the choice of four bedrooms all finished with luxury bed linens and soft towels. A super-king-size one king-size one double and one twin room and to complete the accommodation is a generously sized family bathroom. Outside the cottage is surrounded by established enclosed gardens a mature fruit orchard and wild meadow.
