Introduction

Get together with good company in this traditional country cottage sat within a quiet rural hamlet. There are footpaths on the doorstep for some great country walks heading off through the surrounding fields including the highest point in Nottinghamshire which provides wonderful views. Visit the popular local ice cream parlour just 3 miles away and sample some local favourites at a well-known farm shop just 1.5 miles away. National Trust Clumber Park is great for walking and cycling Sherwood Forest with the mighty Major Oak tree and the home of Robin Hood also and Rufford Abbey with its lake and playpark all within 15 miles. Southwell is 6 miles away with its famous minster along with independent shops and cafes. The Cathedral city of Lincoln is 22 miles away where you can browse the many shops and restaurants and hike up the famous steep hill. Step into the cottage where you will find a cosy lounge with plenty of comfortable seating TV and lovely views over the garden. The kitchen offers everything you need to rustle up a meal during your stay come together in the dining room and enjoy a big Sunday roast after a day walking through the countryside. Completing the ground floor is the shower room. Head upstairs where you will find three spacious bedrooms 2 doubles and a twin room also a family bathroom don t forget your bubble bath and your favourite book to enjoy a long bath at the end of the day. Outside the enclosed garden is surrounded by mature trees which bring in lots of wildlife to the garden. Enjoy dinner outside on warmer evenings whilst the sunsets.
