Enjoy a tour of the The Lakes Distillery (11 miles) whilst also enjoying some fabulous scenery en-route. Less than 13 miles away is William Wordsworth s birthplace Cockermouth a pretty town with a great selection of independent shops restaurants and supermarkets. Beautiful Bassenthwaite Lake is 12 miles away where you can take a walk around the shore path which runs the length of the West shore and visit the open-air theatre at Mirehouse. This spacious former schoolhouse has lots of character and charm. As you enter the tiled lobby/boot room you will find lots of storage for walking boots and jackets. There is a useful shower room off the lobby which is ideal if you come in from a run bike ride or muddy dog walk. As you head into the property you will find a cosy snug with a sofa and log burner offering the perfect spot to curl up with a good book. Off the snug walk down the hallway to find the country style kitchen to your right with a dining room off the kitchen with exposed stone walls and access out into the garden. Across from the kitchen is the lounge which offers a lovely relaxing space with comfortable sofas feature fire and dual views towards the coast and over the open fields. Head down the hallway back into the snug and you will find the games room with pool table and a ground floor twin bedroom. There are stairs to the first floor from either the snug or from the hallway between the lounge and kitchen. The property offers so much space you can easily find a quiet corner to escape from the group if you want to enjoy some time away. The first floor has six bedrooms they are all styled individually and two have en-suite shower rooms. There is also a family bathroom on this floor with stunning free standing clawfoot bath overlooking the garden. With a large enclosed garden featuring lawn mature trees patio with outdoor seating and hot tub you will find it hard to tear yourself away on a nice day.
