For a day out why not enjoy a scenic 2-mile walk along the river? Pass by Elterwater and admire the waterfall at Stockghyll Force before stopping for a spot of lunch. Both the village of Ambleside and the nearby town of Bowness-on-Windermere offer a plethora of experiences from high-end walking shops and boutiques to some fantastic eateries and bars. Nearer to home the rural village of Chapel Stile (0.7 miles) offers a local village shop country inn and delightful cafe.
