Here in the heart of Scotland you can unwind in the tranquil surroundings or take to the mountains and explore the dramatic landscape on foot: for very intrepid walkers trails up Ben Nevis start from under 5 miles away. If this isn t your cup of tea why not take a lochside walk or a day out on the Jacobite Steam Train (3 miles) whisking you off to one of the Highland s best beaches at Arisaig. From fishing to mountain-biking or hitting the ski-slopes in winter you won t be short of adventure here. When it s time to relax deep comfy sofas and a night around the open fire await back at this homely and welcoming property. Enter through the back into a large utility area where you can hang damp coats and leave muddy boots to dry in the drying cupboard. The ground floor also encompasses the newly refurbished kitchen with a coffee machine and a walk in larder a large dining room with an open fire that can sit up to 16 people one ground floor double room and a bright spacious lounge. Upstairs there are two twin rooms (one with an ensuite bathroom) one single & one superking master bedroom with an en-suite. There is also a wet room with power shower and a family bathroom with a double ended roll top bath. Curl up by the fire in the lounge and enjoy breathtaking views over Loch Linnhe whilst the kids play the Xbox or make the most of the golden hour and step out onto the terrace for drinks as the sun sets behind the Scottish mountains. Upstairs three comfortable twin rooms and one single await. Two of the twin rooms boast their own en-suite bathrooms while the third twin and the single share a further family bathroom with bath and WC. Doors from the living room or porch lead out into the large garden and terrace with stunning views over the loch to the mountains beyond. There is an outside dining area for 10 as well as a large fire pit with two Adirondack chairs looking out onto the fantastic views. Surrounded by privately owned woodland you re ensured a peaceful stay with no sound but that of the breeze and the trickling stream. Please note that small children will need to be supervised around the stream which is close to the back door. There is also the opportunity to try your hand at trout fishing on the Estate river by arrangement.
