Introduction

This property is set in an idyllic rural location from where guests have direct access to lovely country walks taking them down to the banks of the River Torridge or to the Halsdon Nature Reserve with its resident otters. The village of Beaford is one mile from the property where there is a welcoming village pub perfect for a lunchtime stroll and a rewarding pint. The area surrounding the property has many attractions to interest holidaymakers not least the impressive two-mile wide sandy beach at Westward Ho! which is a popular destination for families and surfers alike. Other places of interest in the area include RHS Rosemoor the harbour town of Bideford and the visitor centre at Dartington Crystal. The driveway is entered via a cattle grid and a path from the drive brings guests to the front door of this holiday home which makes up part of an elegant 16th century farmhouse the other half of which is occupied by the owners. Once inside guests will be able to make themselves at home in the spacious lounge/diner where sash windows flood the room with light and give guests views across the farm. A wood burner-effect electric fire sits in the fireplace giving the room a cosy atmosphere on cool evenings and entertainment is provided in the form of a TV and DVD. The kitchen has a lovely country feel to it and is equipped with an electric oven hob microwave fridge/freezer dishwasher and washing machine whilst a tumble dryer can be found in a separate utility room. Also on the ground floor is a cloakroom with WC. Upstairs there are three bedrooms and the first of these is a relaxing king-size room which benefits from its own TV. The remaining two bedrooms are both twin rooms one of which is particularly spacious. The property s bathroom offers the best of both worlds with a bath separate shower cubicle and WC so everyone is catered for whether they fancy a long soak in the bath or a quick refreshing shower. Outside the property guests have access to the large gardens which are shared with the owners and provide a wonderful place to play relax or just enjoy the pleasant countryside surroundings. The icing on the cake is the private hot tub which is tucked away in a quiet area and allows guests to plug in their iPod switch on the ambient lights and soak their cares away whilst looking across the neighbouring fields. There is ample off-road parking available.
