This is a wonderful base for enjoying some breathtaking walks with destinations in the Dales including Reeth (15.5 miles) Hawes (26 miles) and Castle Bolton (16 miles). Heading south you can explore the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (9. miles). Other places of interest include Barnard Castle (21 miles) Fountains Abbey (22 miles) Richmond (9 miles) and Ripon (18.5 miles).
