Introduction

The hamlet of Wigpool sits within the mature woodland and nature reserve where you will find natural wildlife ponds and wild ponies roaming free. The vibrant village of Mitcheldean is at the bottom of the hill and is well served with a village store. The Forest of Dean and Wye Valley have plenty to offer with cycle trails and down-hill courses abseiling and caving at Symonds Yat rock canoeing and a high wire rope course. Also within easy access is The Secret Forest a beautiful woodland now reclaimed by nature and Clearwell caves a great underground experience with nine caverns for you to explore. On rainy days there s also plenty to do from museums to caves or spending some time riding a steam train through the forest. Enjoy the woodlands as you approach the gates to this traditional stone cottage the gravel driveway offers ample parking. Open the door and step into the kitchen/diner a contemporary space enjoying light from the glazed doors that open onto the patio. The shaker style kitchen has been finished with granite work tops with a centre island that will bring out the chef in you. There is also an electric oven and hob microwave fridge freezer and dishwasher. The dining area offers a table and chairs for eight which is great for a celebration supper or two. A separate WC with utility area housing a washer/dryer is accessed off the kitchen. For relaxing step into the lounge with comfortable sofas and armchairs a wood burner and TV/DVD. There is also a snug with TV/DVD books and games and for rainy days there is a games room with pool table table football and darts. So when the day is done climb the stairs to the first floor onto the spacious landing. You will find four bedrooms the first is a king-size with original mill framework and en-suite shower room and WC. A double with woodland views a further double with dual aspect windows onto the woodlands and a twin room with 2 6 beds. There is a bathroom with freestanding bath separate shower and WC that completed the accommodation. Step outside onto the patio where the gardens are enclosed with an open aspect onto the woodlands and Wigpool Nature Reserve. The patio area has a table and chairs and BBQ perfect for dining alfresco. There is a private hot tub set to the side of the cottage along with a lawn area perfect for garden games. There is secure storage for bikes and ample off-road parking.
