Retreat 1709 – Kilgetty, Wales

Introduction

Delightful detached cottage on a quiet country lane offering pleasant walks yet very close to the coast. With two beautiful sandy beaches and harbour with boats bobbing up and down just over a mile away Saundersfoot has been a very popular holiday destination since Victorian times. The beautiful coastal path runs through the village. Tenby is close by with cobbled streets and a host of shops and restaurants. For the adventurous Oakwood Theme Park with Europe s longest wooden rollercoaster is a short drive. Family attractions in almost every direction and suitable for all ages. History enthusiasts have lots to choose from with castles at Manorbier Carew and Pembroke. Pubs and shops at Kilgetty are within walking distance. Enter this beautiful stone cottage which was thoughtfully refurbished in 2018 into the hall and through to the cosy lounge with wood burner TV and comfortable seating. This inviting space opens into a dining room with a contemporary country style perfect for family get togethers with French doors to the outside. There is a doorway to a good sized kitchen with an electric oven and gas hob dishwasher fridge/freezer washing machine and a utility room with tumble dryer. There are lovely views across the gardens from the kitchen so you can watch the family play as you prepare a hearty meal. From the dining room there is a handy WC leading on from the dining to a double bedroom with en-suite shower. Across the hallway from the lounge there is a another charming lounge which is set up for children and teenagers with TV/DVD and lots of games to entertain. Upstairs there is are three further bedrooms one king-size one double and a twin (which can be made up as a super-king-size upon request) and completing the accommodation is a very well-appointed bathroom with roll top bath separate shower and WC. Outside there is a simply fabulous enclosed garden which backs on to open fields with large lawn raised patio area with furniture fire pit and BBQ a play area with swings and various decks one with a hammock where you can sit and relax with a book and a glass of wine. This is a perfect space for both couples and families alike. There is off-road parking for three cars.
