Home to a wealth of outdoor activities Craggan Outdoors at Aviemore (14 miles) has something for everyone from archery to abseiling. If you are prepared to get wet and feeling more adventurous try your hand at gorge walking or white-water rafting. For those less inclined towards outdoor activities head north to beautiful Cawdor Castle and Gardens (23 miles) or pack a picnic and spend a day at the seaside at Nairn (23 miles). For a day out Inverness (34 miles) is within an hour s drive. For whisky lovers a visit to one of the many Speyside distilleries is a must choose from The Glenlivet (19 miles) Tomintoul (16 miles) or a host of others scattered along the River Spey. As you enter this delightful stone and timber-built property via the bright porch you come into the fabulously spacious open-plan kitchen/dining/living area with its high ceiling and warm wooden floors it is the perfect space for socialising and getting together for a meal. The immaculate kitchen is superbly equipped for creating some culinary masterpieces while you chat over a bottle of wine. After eating relax on the large corner sofa to enjoy the superb views outside through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The property blends contemporary comfort and traditional style with the addition of some quirky pieces of vintage furniture. There s also a nod to Scottish tradition with the tartan fabrics in the cosy snug which is separated from the kitchen area by folding doors so the living area can be extended if required.
