Introduction

Enjoying a peaceful position this former shooting lodge offers a charming getaway for large families and groups of friends who are seeking to escape to the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Tucked away at the end of a private lane you can look forward to idyllic countryside views an indulgent hot tub and a variety of walking cycling and horse-riding trails from the doorstep. The picturesque village of Symondsbury with its friendly local pub is just 1.5 miles away and the golden sand of the Jurassic Coast is a 3-mile drive. Sleeping up to six guests in three bedrooms in the lodge and two further guests in the accompanying log cabin this luxury Dorset holiday home offers plenty of space to relax and unwind. On chilly winter evenings light the wood burner in the lounge sink into the sofa in front of its warm glow and watch the sun set over the rolling countryside through the large bay window. This is the perfect spot to cosy up with a movie while the kids entertain themselves with the TV and games in the snug. The well-equipped kitchen with range cooker is just the place to rustle up a hearty supper for all the family which can be laid out for all to enjoy on the large table in the dining room as the wood burner crackles in the background. The separate log cabin in the garden provides an extra bedroom and bathroom a comfortable living area with a TV and has its own veranda and outside seating area to make the most of the views and local wildlife. On warm summer days the garden and raised decking area are wonderfully secluded and enjoy glorious vistas as far as the eye can see over the surrounding fields and woodland. The bubbling hot tub is a welcome spot to make a toast as the sun sets while the BBQ sizzles and the younger members of the party have fun on the trampoline.
