Several National Trust properties and RHS Rosemoor Gardens are within easy reach. Crediton is the nearest market town and has a range of shops and recreational facilities. The smaller market town of North Tawton made famous by past Poet Laureate Ted Hughes and more recently the BBC hit series Jam and Jerusalem.
