Introduction

The village of Barvas located on the Isle of Lewis benefits from a shop petrol station two churches and an excellent bus service to Stornoway also just a short drive away. The Barvas coastline is within walking distance with excellent coastal walks and sea views. There are surfing opportunities along with other water sports and lessons are available for novices. This area is a natural habitat for some rare birds including the red throated diver corncrake and golden eagles if you are lucky enough to see them. In the winter months you may even get the chance to experience the spectacular northern lights. Monard is a central location to some attractions of interest including Callanish Stones Gearranan Black Houses and Carloway Broch. The village of Ness boasts a lighthouse overlooking spectacular cliffs and breath-takingly beautiful beaches. Entering the property through the rear porch door and into the utility area with washing machine and tumble dryer a great spot to leave behind your muddy shoes and coats. Head through to the stylish kitchen/dining equipped to prepare a family meal with electric oven and hob microwave and fridge/freezer. There is also a dining table and chairs to enjoy the resulting meal as a family. Continuing through to the lounge this is the perfect space to relax after a long day of exploring the area with wood burner and TV/DVD with Netflix. Also on the ground floor is the first of the four bedrooms the two double bedrooms and the single. Completing the ground floor is the shower room with shower and WC. From the kitchen head up to the first floor home to the master bedroom with king-size bed and an en-suite shower room and WC. Head outside from the hallway to the large garden area with outdoor furniture and a charcoal BBQ for you to enjoy al fresco dining or relax in the hot tub after a long day.
