Introduction

This bright and airy farmhouse is set in a peaceful location yet has excellent road links making it the ideal base for touring both Somerset and Devon. Surrounded by pastureland with wonderful views in all directions it is the ideal spot for walkers and those wishing to get back to nature. Set in its own grounds and bordered by the National Trust and only half a mile from the famous Wellington Monument. Many pretty towns and villages are accessible from here including nearby Wellington which offers a good selection of local amenities. A visit to the town museum is a must for history lovers. Also accessible by car are a wealth of popular attractions including the rugged beauty of Exmoor and Dartmoor north and south coasts and a choice of National Trust properties. A gravel driveway leads you to the detached stone farmhouse. Enter this immaculate detached house into a entrance hall where there is a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer which is also a perfect place to hang coats and store muddy boots after a walk in the countryside there is also a useful cloakroom here with a WC. From the hall enter the lounge where you will find a bright and airy space with fabulous countryside views from the two set s of french doors which open onto the patio which is great for sunbathing or star watching with its big sky view. The welcoming lounge is ideal for kicking back and relaxing with a Smart TV with sound bar DVD wood burner and snuggle up seating. There is also a snug room which doubles as a great playroom. Head back through the hall and into the kitchen/diner which also enjoys far reaching countryside views and has french doors opening onto the patio it is a great room for family meals or special celebrations. If you do decide to stay in and cook there is a well-equipped kitchen it has a Rangemaster cooker with electric ovens and an electric hob microwave and Rangemaster fridge/freezer with ice maker you don t even need to do the dishes as there is a dishwasher in the kitchen to do the work for you. There is an archway that leads into the conservatory which also enjoys the views and has both comfortable and dining seating. Head upstairs to the five bedrooms which all benefit from countryside views. The first is a king-size with TV en-suite bathroom with a bath separate shower and WC and can be accessed via the landing or a second staircase leading from the lounge. The second and third bedrooms are very flexible they have single beds with additional trundle beds giving the option of making both rooms a twin on request. The fourth bedroom is a double. There is also a family bathroom on this floor with a bath separate shower and WC. The final bedroom is accessed via a further staircase and is built into the eaves of the property this has a king-size and a single bed with additional trundle bed to provide more flexibility to guests. Outside there is a large enclosed garden with far reaching countryside views great for relaxing in with plenty of room for children to play. There is also a secluded patio area where guests will find a table and chairs sun loungers and a hot tub this is particularly inviting at night when guests can enjoy the warm bubbling water under the star-filled skies. There is also a games barn a stone s throw from the property with a table tennis table and useful WC. There is ample off-road parking available.
