Take the short walk down to the River Towy and where you can fish for trout and salmon; the Towy Valley is also home to an incredible variety of wildlife and birds. The pretty market town of Llandovery with some interesting cafes and pubs a few boutique-style shops antique shops and a Heritage Centre is 2 miles away. Visit Aberglasney House the National Botanic Garden of Wales and the romantic Carreg Cennen Castle or try the National Trust s Dinefwr and go underground on their Dolaucothi Gold Mine tours. With all the living space and bedrooms on the upper floor climb the stone and slate staircase to be surrounded by beautifully restored 17th-century features in this quirky barn conversion. Oak beams oak floors and original stonework all serve to retain the character complemented by modern comforts to create comfortable and welcoming accommodation throughout. The kitchen has a built-in electric cooker hob microwave dishwasher and fridge whilst the utility area on the ground floor has a chest freezer and a washing machine. The living room has truly glorious pastoral views over meadows with grazing cattle to the River Towy and the winding valley beyond. Settle down on the comfortable leather sofas and chairs to relax with a film or enjoy a home-cooked meal at the dining table. The double bedroom has an en-suite with a shower whilst the twin room has an en-suite with a shower over the bath. As the day draws to a close head down to your own private hot tub sheltered under a wooden gazebo with its own bar and stools. Dine alfresco with a BBQ as you watch the red kites soar above you and look out for the particularly rare little ringed plover – a sighting of this creature being the perfect end to the day. Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 double, 1 twin. 2 bathrooms 2 en suites (1 shower over the bath, 1 shower). Electric cooker, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge. Not suitable for children under 4, due to the traditional slate staircase that leads up to the main accommodation.. All the living space and bedrooms are on the upper floor.
