Introduction

The quaint rural village of Hayton is a fabulous base for exploring both the Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the northern parts of the Lake District National Park. The historic coastal town of Maryport (6.5 miles) is known for its Georgian and Victorian architecture and is home to a bustling harbour the Senhouse Roman Museum and the Lake District Coast Aquarium. Also nearby is Allonby (3 miles) known for its 5-mile beach and breathtaking coastal walks. The area has several beautiful beaches and a number of excellent golf courses. Heading inland Cockermouth (9 miles) is the birthplace of William Wordsworth and marks an entry point into the Lake District with Bassenthwaite Lake within easy reach (14 miles). Entering this airy and beautifully refurbished property the hallway is perfect for leaving coats and boots before coming into the spacious and welcoming lounge. Featuring plenty of comfortable seating and a Smart TV this is an ideal space to gather and relax in the evening. Exploring further the light and stylish kitchen/diner is a fantastic space for cooking and enjoying all your favourite meals. The dining area is by the French doors which offer fantastic views over the garden and towards the Solway Firth. There s also a large private hot tub perfect for unwinding in at the end of a great day.
