Introduction

Rutland Water with its fishing walking bird watching sailing and cycling attractions is a must-visit when in the area. Birdwatchers will not want to miss the Red Kites that regularly frequent the skies. The beautiful Georgian town of Stamford is only 5 miles away where you can explore the variety of shops pubs and restaurants and market. On the outskirts is the Elizabethan House of Burghley (8 miles) which is open to the public and where the Burghley Horse Trials are held each September. The classic market town of Oakham is 6 miles away in the opposite direction with beautiful buildings historic sites and a range of shops restaurants including a market on a Wednesday and Saturday. Step through into the beautiful flagstone floored hallway and enter the kitchen. The first thing you will notice is the eye-catching exposed wall and surrounding beams. The kitchen offers an electric oven and hob steam oven microwave dishwasher fridge and washing machine providing a home away from home kitchen for you to rustle up a memorable meal in or just sit by the window and enjoy the view. Step down into the lounge with its pretty windows and French doors leading out onto the patio perfect for alfresco dining. The wonderful wooden floors perfectly compliment the character of the cottage so sink into the comfortable sofas and pop on the TV or lose yourself in a good book. There is a downstairs shower room with a shower and WC. The dining room offers a large inglenook fireplace which can t help to impress with its beautiful stonework and features the perfect spot to enjoy a family celebration meal. Upstairs there is a king-size bedroom double bedroom king-size zip-and-link bedroom (which can be made into a twin upon request) and a single bedroom. The family bathroom offers a beautiful slipper bath and WC so don t forget your bubble bath. There is a spacious lawned garden which is enclosed by a five-bar gate and mature hedging. Relax on the patio where you will find a bubbling hot tub and outdoor seating perfect for dining alfresco. There is off-road parking for 4 cars. Need to know: 4 Bedrooms 1 king size, 1 double, 1 king size zip and link (which can be made into 2 4 twins upon request) and 1 single. 2 bathrooms 1 bathroom with bath and WC and 1 ground floor shower room with WC. Electric oven and hob, steam oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and washing machine. Travel cot and highchair available on request. TV in the lounge. Enclosed garden with lawn and patio. Hot tub. Off road parking for 4 cars. Pub/restaurant and shop within walking distance. Raised pond covered by a net. Annex attached to the cottage which is occupied.
