Retreat 30013 – Braunton, Devon

Introduction

Situated in the heart of the village of Braunton with its array of independent shops pubs and restaurants. The Tarka Trail is within easy reach which is ideal for walking and cycling. Only 2 miles away is the breath-taking Saunton Sands popular for surfers and other water sports. Other beaches within 5 miles are Croyde and Woolacombe. Walkers will be spoilt for choice with the nearby South West Coast Path and if you want to venture further but still within 15 miles is the Beautiful Exmoor National Park with its stunning moorland and woodland walks. Visit Lynton and Lynmouth (20 miles) and take a ride on the funicular railway and stop at the top and enjoy a Devon Cream Tea. Enter through the porch leaving your muddy boots behind and you walk into the lounge/dining room. This quaint area has an inglenook fireplace and original beams throughout. Sink into the sumptuous sofas and you can relax in front of the gas coal effect fire and watch one of your favourite movies on the Smart TV. Step up into the kitchen and it has everything you need to cook up one of your favourite recipes complete with a electric oven and gas hob dishwasher microwave fridge with ice compartment and in the outside utility is the washing machine and hangers for wetsuits to dry. The bathroom is next to the kitchen and this has a shower -over -the bath and WC. There are two bedrooms upstairs and they both have double beds. Stepping outside there is a courtyard with a patio table and chairs to sit and enjoy the morning sun. There are a further few steep steps that take you up into the fabulous garden where there is a hot tub and a pavilion with heating and a wine fridge to enjoy dining al -dente with far-reaching views across to the estuary. There is parking for two cars and the road leading up to it is quite steep. Need to know: 2 bedrooms 2 doubles. 1 bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Electric oven and gas hob, fridge with ice compartment, microwave and dishwasher. Smart TV in the lounge. Travel cot provided. Outside utility with washing machine. Courtyard with seating and hot tub with heated pavilion. Parking for 2 cars. Beach 2 miles, pub and shop within walking distance.
