Introduction

If you can pull yourself away from the hot tub and fire pit there s lots to keep you entertained in the area. From simply admiring the views to strolling the woodlands and spotting local wildlife you ll not be short of an activity or two. There are walks aplenty with Offa s Dyke Path on the Hatterrall Ridge (10 miles) offering a challenge or even Hay Bluff (14 miles) and The Black Mountains. To slow it down a little visit the market town of Hay-on-Wye (12 miles) the Book Town where second-hand bookstores are at every turn and there s even an annual literary festival. For those wanting to get on the water head to the UK s fifth longest river the River Wye (7 miles) where you can hire a canoe or kayak or simply enjoy a day relaxing or wild swimming on the Warren. The Hideaways are set into the hillside where you will get a glimpse above the fields as you approach the driveway. The site is traffic-free and guests can enjoy the walk up to the hideaways via beech lined pathways that open into a private landscaped space. Small carts are provided for the luggage. Thehideaway is glass-fronted to ensure the best views. Step inside to the open plan living space cleverly configured with entertaining in mind all furniture has been handmade and finished with bright colours and soft furnishings. A well-equipped kitchen includes an electric oven and hob microwave fridge/ freezer coffee machine and dishwasher. For dining a table and chairs suitable for six await where you can dine in style whilst enjoying the views. For relaxation a lounge area with sofas and Smart TV is nearby. When the day is done you will find three bedrooms waiting: a choice of bedrooms both enjoying a fully glazed front with stunning views; and a bunk bedroom with bespoke-built bunk beds. There is a family bathroom with a walk-in shower free-standing bath and WC and a separate WC. Outside the hideaway has a decked terrace area that benefits from an architectural curve creating a private space. There is a hot tub where you can enjoy soaking after a day of exploring and for dark skies you can step down to the fire pit and toast marshmallows. Away from your private garden there is a 1 mile woodland walk behind the hideaways through the owners private woodland.There is off-road parking at the base of the hill for two cars along with storage for bikes. Need to know: 3 bedrooms 2 king size and 1 bunk bedroom. 1 bathroom with free standing bath, walking in shower and WC and 1 separate WC. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and coffee machine. Travel cot and highchair available on request. Smart TV in lounge. Private hot tub (dressing gowns included). Open aspect garden with decked area with, table and chairs and fire pit (first basket of logs included). Off road parking for two cars Storage for bikes Pubs and shops 2 miles.
