A tastefully furnished cottage arranged over two floors within this holiday accommodation site in the picturesque village of Newton-On-Rawcliffe. just on the doorstep of the attractive North York Moors National Park roughly 30 miles northeast of the city of York. Less than 5 miles north of the busy market town of Pickering you ll have plenty to do and explore right on your doorstep. Just 3 miles north of the village and you can be walking in Cropton Forest. Travel another 18 miles and you ll reach the fishing town of Whitby or you can travel there by steam train on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway passing by beautiful moorland scenery a little further down the coast visit Scarborough (23 miles) with its two sandy beaches amusements and castle. Modern meets comfort and charm that welcomes you with open arms. Entering into an open-plan kitchen/dining area this three-bedroom haven is ideal for a family trip or gathering with friends. Straight away you will get the sense of home once you step in. Seek relaxation in the living area which boasts tasteful décor and lounge on the plush sofas as the wood-burner creates a cosy ambience whilst you browse through the options on the Smart TV. The dining area is the perfect spot to enjoy breakfast at the dining table with seating for six and plan the day s events and the kitchen area has everything you need for meal-times. There are three bedrooms a twin room on the ground floor and a double and a twin room upstairs. There are two bathrooms one with a bath shower and WC on the ground floor and a bathroom on the first floor with a bath with a handheld shower over and WC. You are spoilt for choice of seating places as this complex has a vast communal garden with well-stocked borders and wildflower patches with strategically placed benches where you can while away the hours with a good book or just admire the wildness. There is also a communal pool house with changing facilities and showers take a dip in the 6m exercise pool and finish off in the sauna and hot tub (times allocated and children must be supervised). There is off-street parking for 2 cars. Need to know: 3 bedrooms 1 double, 2 twins. 2 bathrooms 1 with shower, bath and WC, 1 with bath/hand held shower and WC. Electric oven and hob, fridge, slim dishwasher and microwave. Smart TV in lounge. Wood burner (first basket of logs provided). Two shared automatic washing machines and a tumble drier (operated by coin meter) is located in a separate laundry room. Travel cot and highchair available on request. Communal courtyard with benches, access to shared gardens including a water garden area with a pond and bridge, communal swimming pool, sauna and hot tub (allocated times apply and children must be supervised). Off street parking for 2 cars. Pub and shop 5 miles. Mallard Cottage can be booked along with Owl Cottage (sleeps 4), Granary Cottage (sleeps 4) and Swift Cottage (sleeps 7) totally accommodation for up to 21 guests.
