Introduction

Traditional detached stone house set in the stunning Lake District National park overlooking fields and fells. The pretty village of Pooley Bridge sits on the River Eamont and the beautiful Ullswater is just 2 miles away. The village has a selection of country pubs serving good food and local beer there is a lovely waterside café and small independent shops. Take a boat from Pooley Bridge to Howtown where you can walk to Glenridding and catch the boat back. One of Wordsworth s favourite walks and offers views of Ullswater and Helvellyn. Enjoy a day at Dalemain Mansion and Historic Gardens or visit Aira Force Waterfall (8 miles) set amongst ancient woodland and landscaped glades. Park your car and head down the steps into the enclosed garden. As you enter the property you will find yourself in the hallway where there is coat and boot storage. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area is off the hall and offers a great social space to catch up and discuss your plans for the week ahead. There is lovely parquet flooring a cosy wood burner and original beams the room offers somewhere to unwind. There is Smart TV s in both the lounge and kitchen area. The kitchen offers dining for the whole party and everything you will need to enjoy a hearty breakfast or an evening meal. There is access out onto the garden from the lounge area. Off the lounge you will find a sunroom which has stone flooring and is a practical space to relax or for muddy dogs after a long walk. The views from this room are breathtaking it is also a great place to sneak off to get away from it all with a good book or a glass of wine! Head back through the lounge and into the hallway at the bottom of the stairs you will find a bathroom. Heading up the staircase to the first floor you will the second bathroom and just up a couple of steps onto the main landing here you will find three spacious bedrooms one double one king-size and a twin all have lovely countryside views. The pretty enclosed garden is accessed from either the sunroom or lounge. There is a patio with charcoal BBQ and a seating area to enjoy alfresco meals on a nice evening! Sink into the hot tub and enjoy the views. Need to know: 3 bedrooms 1 double, 1 king size and 1 twin. 2 bathrooms 1 shower room with shower and WC and 1 bathroom with shower over bath and 1 separate WC. Electric hob and oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer. Washing machine and dryer. Wood burner (first basket of logs included). Highchair and travel cot available. Smart TV in lounge and kitchen. Private hot tub with bathrobes provided. Enclosed garden with lawn and patio. Private parking for up to 3 cars which is accessed via a number of steps from the garden. Village pubs, shops, and cafés within 2 miles.
