Introduction

Nestled in the rolling countryside of Ayrshire this beautiful whitewashed cottage lies at the entrance of the Martnaham nature reserve a two-mile stretch of water that is a haven for wildfowl and swans. The splendid Ayrshire coastline and countryside is a paradise for walkers cyclists and hikers with numerous coastal trails and country tracks to explore. Golfers are also well catered for with the championship courses of Turnberry Prestwick and Royal Troon within 13 miles. Visit an array of historic castles and houses including Culzean Dumfries House Dundonald and Dean all within 15 miles. The nearby village of Alloway (5 miles) is best known as the birthplace of Robert Burns and the setting for his poems here you can visit the charming thatched cottage museum and monument and take a walk over the cobbled Brig o Doon. Enjoy a walk at Rozelle and visit the changing exhibitions and café Step inside this charming cottage into the kitchen/diner you will find a dining area perfect for sharing a family meal and has all you will need to prepare delicious home-cooked meals on a sunny day open the French door out to the decking. Follow the hall through to the cosy lounge it s the perfect place to relax in the evenings light the wood burner and enjoy a good movie on the TV or listen to some music after an epic day out exploring the local area. You will find two light and bright bedrooms one double and one twin. There are two bathrooms one bathroom with a jacuzzi bath and WC and one shower room with WC Outside the enclosed garden including decking and hot tub faces south to catch the sun with panoramic views of the hills beyond. There is also a charcoal BBQ and seating area for al fresco dining or lazy evening star gazing. Enjoy views across the loch from a small seating area which can be found on the left-hand side of the drive with a fallen log viewing area.
