Rhayader is the local market town (3 miles) bursting with amenities and places to dine out so you ll be well catered for. This town is also nicknamed The Outdoor Capital of Wales due to its remarkable surroundings close to the Elan valley located within 6 miles of the cottage. Both valleys are filled with opportunities for walking cycling and wildlife watching while the clear night skies are perfect for evening stargazing. Just 2 miles from this holiday let sits Gilfach Nature Reserve where you can look out for salmon leaping in the river Marteg spot pied flycatchers darting amongst the woods and butterflies fluttering between the flora with the wildlife varying depending on the season you visit. Three steps lead up to the wonderful French doors at the front of this retreat which allow natural light to flood in. An open-plan layout with a wonderful curved ceiling and exposed wood all around creates a cosy hygge atmosphere. Settle down on the contemporary seating on arrival and switch on the Smart TV for all your favourite shows. The modern kitchen area is a delightful space for preparing meals while the table has stylish seating for four. When night falls two beautiful bedrooms await choose from a restful king-size bedroom or a dreamy twin zip-and-link (can be made into a king-size upon request). A sophisticated modern shower room completes the set-up of this wonderful Welsh retreat. The first thing you ll notice outside is the fantastic hot tub it s the perfect place to snuggle up with a glass of bubbly! Scenic views of Mid Wales countryside spread out all around and outdoor seating ensures you can sit outside and dine alfresco. There s a fire pit too for marshmallow toasting and admiring star-spangled skies on a clear night and the garden is fully enclosed.
