Explore the famous World Heritage Jurassic coastline where you can go fossil hunting on Charmouth beach (18 miles) or visit Lyme Regis (19.5 miles) Dorset s iconic seaside town. Nearby are National Trust s Barrington Court (6 miles) Montacute House (13.5 miles) and don t forget to visit the Quantock Hills. From the moment you step through the front door you will be struck by the character of the house which dates back to 1850 and has recently enjoyed a significant and sympathetic renovation. The entrance to the house is from a formal lawned garden with a stone path from the parking area. Step into the hall which leads to the principle rooms. The White Salon (lounge) offers comfy seating and an open fire and has French doors that open into the Orangery (dining room). There are bi-fold doors that open to the formal gardens and a large table where you can spend quality time with your loved ones or celebrate an occasion with friends. The Red Salon (lounge) has classical oak panelling burgundy red walls comfy seating and a wood burner to curl up in front of. The Champagne Room is the TV lounge with a TV and open fire. There is also a useful cloakroom with two WC s. The well-equipped kitchen has an electric AGA and is a great space for cooking lazy breakfasts or a special meal.
