Introduction

This 16th-century cottage is located in the centre of the pretty village of Bishops Tawton which is surrounded by beautiful countryside and there are many walks and cycling routes around the area including the Tarka Trail which offers 180 miles of off-road cycling with tearooms and pubs along the way. The local pub offers hearty homemade food which is a delight after a walk up to the top of Codden Hill where you can see Dartmoor. A trip to the picturesque village of Instow (10 miles) well known for its attractive dog-friendly sandy waterfront with a cafe several pubs and restaurants. In the summer months hop on the pedestrian boat ferry across to Appledore and stroll around its pretty cobbled streets with a selection of independent shops and cafes. For surfing lovers visit Westward Ho! (11 miles) with its 3 miles of sand and surf. This one-bedroom thatched cottage has been beautifully renovated and still has many of its original features including oak beams. After a day of adventure relax on the comfortable sofa and enjoy your favourite movie on the Smart TV. The open-plan kitchen has everything you need to whip up a special recipe for a cosy night in. Take the staircase up to the bedroom with a king-size bed and a Smart TV and completing the cottage is the bathroom. Stepping into the enclosed garden is a lovely patio area and seating to dine alfresco and a bubbling hot tub offers many hours of pure relaxation. Need to know: 1 bedroom king size bed. 1 bathroom walk in shower and WC. Electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine and microwave. Smart TV in the lounge and the bedroom.
