National Trust s Clumber Park (19 miles) is great for walking and cycling and if you re a fan of Robin Hood head to Sherwood Forest (15.5 miles) to find the mighty Major Oak tree. Rufford Abbey with its lake and playpark is also just 10 miles away. Southwell is 6 miles away with its famous minster along with independent shops and cafes. Newark-on-Trent is 7 miles away and you can find lots to do from picnics in the castle grounds to taking a boat trip on the river. With all the accommodation on one level step inside the wooden lodge into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which offers everything you need to relax with good company during your stay.
