Introduction

A wonderful cottage with parts dating back to the 1800s blended with elegant décor this family bolthole is situated within the Exmoor National Park on the outskirts of the village of Parracombe. A steady 1-mile stroll leads to Parracombe village centre where you can buy fresh local produce at a community cafe and shop or eat out at the traditional pub. Jump aboard a steam engine from Woody Bay station (4 miles) for a memorable ride along the Lynton and Barnstaple narrow-gauge railway through lovely countryside. Enjoy a visit to scenic Lynmouth Harbour (8 miles) and take the famous funicular railway up to the twin village of Lynton 152 metres above with magnificent coastal views on the way. Slightly further afield is the award-winning Woolacombe Beach with its golden sands (13.5 miles). Enter this stylish cottage and kick off your shoes in the porch before making yourselves at home in the lounge area where there s a wood burner Smart TV and comfortable sofas. A playroom provides a separate space for children with a doll s house and a vintage table arcade machine with numerous classic games including Pacman and space invaders. Across the hallway is the dining area with a wood burner and two armchairs for those looking to unwind with an afternoon tipple. Through into the well-equipped kitchen you ll find all you need for mealtimes and a handy utility space equipped with a washing machine and dryer. Adjacent to the utility area is a ground-floor wet room with a walk-in shower and WC. There is also a conservatory games room equipped with table tennis and table football. Moving upstairs to your left is the bunk bed bedroom and down the hall is the twin bedroom filled with light from the large windows. Down the hall is the king-size bedroom with SkyTV and plenty of space. Across the hallway is the family bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. Completing the first floor is a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. Outside the fun continues with a three-tower children s play area football goal and grass area coupled with a designated BBQ area outdoor seating and a sheltered hot tub with a Bluetooth speaker system. Need to know: 4 bedrooms 1 king size, 1 double, 1 twin, 1 bunk bedroom (suitable for 1 adult or 2 children). 3 bathrooms 1 bathroom with shower over the bath and WC, 1 en suite shower room with WC, and 1 wet room with walk in shower and WC.
