Introduction

Situated on the edge of Westbury-on-Severn a traditional Gloucestershire village pet friendly and perfect for families and large groups wanting to embrace the outdoors and explore the Forest of Dean. The village has plenty to offer for larger groups you can step out from the front door and follow the pathway out to the horseshoe of the River Severn where in spring you can enjoy the famous Severn Bore. Relax in The Water Garden at Westbury Court Gardens a great village inn offering a tasty menu of locally produced food. The forest of Dean is just 5 miles where you can explore the forests on foot or hire a bikes from Cannop Cycle centre (8 Miles). Other attractions include Go Ape Puzzlewood Clearwell Caves Symonds Yat rock canoeing and kayaking on the River Wye all within (12 miles). For a more cultured day out the cathedral city of Gloucester is just 10 miles. Steeped in original features with accommodation spread across three floors guests can enter through the large wooden door into the wide hallway where you can shed your muddy boots after a busy day exploring. The ground floor offers two reception rooms both beautifully finished; a formal lounge with an open fire TV with DVD player and French doors open onto the gardens and a smaller lounge with open fire perfect for relaxing with a good book. The kitchen/diner is positioned to the rear of the farmhouse a generously sized room with traditional farmhouse kitchen that s great for entertaining. The chef amongst you can enjoy the well-equipped kitchen space joined by fellow guests around the large table and chairs. There is a utility room ideal for storage along with a ground floor shower room with shower and WC. From the hallway you can take the stairs to the first floor. Here guests have the choice of four generously sized bedrooms a single room that provides access to a triple room with one double bed and one single bed with en-suite shower over bath and WC and two double bedrooms. There is a family bathroom with separate shower bath and WC and there is also a separate WC on this floor. A second staircase gives access to the second floor where guests have the choice of two spacious bedrooms one double room and a further twin bedroom. Guests are welcome to relax within the enclosed garden where there is a seating area with table and chairs. There is storage for bikes and parking available in the layby to the front of the house. There is also the benefit of a Hot Tub. Need to know: 6 bedrooms 3 double, 1 triple with double bed and 1 single (accessed via the single bedroom), 1 twin, 1 single. 3 bathrooms 1 separate shower, bath and WC, 1 shower over bath and WC, 1 shower and WC, 1 separate WC. Electric oven with gas hob, microwave, microwave/oven/grill combi, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Utility room. Open fire x 2 (first basket of logs included). 32 TV and DVD in lounge. Enclosed garden with table and chairs. Storage for bikes. Parking available in the layby in front of the house. Pub and shop 0.5 miles. Hot Tub new for June 2023.
