Walkers and cyclists can take advantage of both the Offa s Dyke and Mortimers Trail at Kington (3.5 miles). For local produce arts and crafts visit one of many market towns Kington Presteigne and Pembridge. For golfers Kington also has the highest 18 hole golf course in England. Within easy reach of the cottage are the Welsh and Shropshire borders where you can head into the Black Mountains Elan Valley and Shropshire Hills. A variety of festivals run throughout the year such as Hay-on-Wye Book Festival Ludlow Food Festival and Kington Walking Festival.
