Tiree is 12 miles long and famous for its sandy beaches such as Balephuil Balevullin and Crossapol. Take advantage of the island s windy conditions making it a popular destination for windsurfing surfing and kitesurfing. You can rent equipment and take lessons. Enjoy a boat tour to explore the surrounding islands observe wildlife and enjoy the coastal scenery. The landscapes on Tiree are breathtaking providing ample opportunities for photography. Capture the rugged coastline colourful wildflowers and vibrant sunsets. Tiree has minimal light pollution making it an excellent spot for stargazing. On clear nights you can enjoy a spectacular view of the stars. Learn about the history and culture of Tiree at the Tiree Heritage Centre or visit the Skerryvore Lighthouse exhibition to find out how the heroic engineers and keepers built and maintained Scotland s tallest lighthouse.
