Retreat 5430 – Okehampton, Devon

Introduction

Nestling within the trees on the northern edge of Dartmoor this delightful lodge sits within a peaceful complex of lodges. Exploring on foot or by pedal there are plenty of great options nearby to be had or visit family attractions nearby such as Southwest Segway Woodlands Family Theme Park and The Dartmoor Mystery Treasure Trail. Whatever the time of year Dartmoor has something special to offer from extraordinary wildlife to wide open spaces and magical forested areas where you can find peace and quiet or for the more adventurous you have kayaking and climbing. Within a short car journey is the market town of Okehampton which offers an array of shops cafes restaurants pubs and supermarkets. This delightful lodge is accessed via a small flight of external wooden steps. Heading on through the lodge you enter the light and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which has a contemporary feel with its tasteful styling feature pebble effect electric fire comfortable sofas and dining table with seating for four and for entertainment purposes there is a TV/DVD. Overlooking the seating area the kitchen is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob fridge and dishwasher. Large patio doors allow guests to open up this area in the warmer months extending the living space out onto the decked terrace. The first of the property s two bedrooms is a double room with TV whilst the second bedroom is a comfortable twin room. The main bathroom has a shower over bath and WC. Heading outside the decked terrace makes a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the sunshine with a drink at the end of the day. A table and chairs also make it possible for guests to enjoy al fresco dining. A private hot-tub arrives in April 2019. There is off-road parking for two cars.
