Retreat 6022 – Barry, Wales

Introduction

This is a truly delightful cottage set on a leafy lane close to the coast yet a short drive to the city of Cardiff. St Athan is a super village with inns shops and a great atmosphere. There are sandy beaches just a few minutes by car and walks straight from your door. As well as stunning scenery this cottage is just ten miles from Cardiff the capital city with shops and world famous venues for music shows and sporting events. A little closer is Penarth which is a beautiful coastal spot with a restored pier. For the more discerning shopper the town of Cowbridge is five miles away with a range of boutiques coffee houses and restaurants. Enter into the cottage through the stable door and into the hallway which has a fabulous double bedroom to the left this tranquil room has a TV and double height ceiling and beams adding lots of character to compliment the contemporary decor. The bathroom with shower over bath and WC is to the right of the hallway. Following on enter into the country kitchen with electric oven and hob microwave fridge/freezer and washing machine there is a dining table for a relaxed space to enjoy your meals. The walk through snug area is beyond the kitchen and is a tranquil spot to relax with a good book. There is a single bedroom with sleigh bed armchair and TV. Outside there is a lovely enclosed patio garden with sunny aspect table and chairs for alfresco dining. Head through a gate to a shared garden with hot tub and BBQ. There is ample roadside parking available.
