Introduction

This property is situated in Appledore a picture-postcard village situated on the confluence of the rivers Taw and Torridge. The village s cobbled streets are wonderful to wander perhaps stopping in at one of the pubs tearooms or restaurants. In the warmer months a boat from the town s quay runs across the River Torridge to the neighbouring village of Instow with its beach sand dunes and yacht club. Just three miles from the property the wide beach at Westward Ho! is a popular destination for families and even has a surf school should visitors want to have a go at surfing or stand-up paddle boarding. This handsome property is a stunning showcase of the owners wonderful eye for detail and impeccable sense of style. Entering the property guests come to a hallway with attractive tiled flooring off from which you will find the spacious kitchen with its AGA oven electric oven hob microwave fridge/freezer and dishwasher whilst the washing machine and tumble dryer are located in a separate utility room. The dining room is also situated on the ground floor which has a grand fireplace with a wood burner which keeps the room lovely and warm even in the winter months. A convenient WC is also found on the ground floor. Make use of the handy utility room which is a great for keeping bikes and surfboards safe.Taking the stairs to the split-level first floor guests will find the stylish lounge with its artfully chosen furnishings and decoration feature fireplace TV/DVD and estuary views. Two of the property s bedrooms are also located on the first floor both of which are doubles though one has a smaller-sized 4 bed. This smaller room benefits from an en-suite shower and WC and patio doors which lead out to the decked patio area. The bathroom on this floor offers a roll-top bath separate shower and WC. Two further bedrooms are located on the second floor both of which have their own TV. The first of these is a large room with a king-size bed and an additional sofa-bed whilst the other is a twin room. The twin bedroom can also be made up as a double upon request. The second-floor bathroom like the first-floor one has a roll-top bath shower and WC. Outside the first half of the garden is enclosed with a lawned area and a sunny decked terrace which is accessed both via a set of external stairs and from one of the first-floor bedrooms. This area offers garden furniture a BBQ and a private hot tub (please note the hot tub will be emptied between 10am-4pm on the Friday of each holiday ensure it is ready for the next guests). The garden area and utility room can be accessed via a passageway to the side of the property. To the front of the property private parking is offered for two to three cars.
