Introduction

This friendly and thriving historic market town known as Scotland s Food Town is full of hidden surprises and fantastic scenery. It boasts numerous eateries selection of pubs and has a unique shopping experience with an array of speciality shops. Visit the historic Threave Castle situated on an island in the River Dee. Galloway Activity Centre located on the banks of Loch Ken offers a great choice of water sports and activities including a climbing tower with zipwire laser tag and archery. Explore The Galloway Forest Park and the fantastic Red Kite Trail. Enjoy dark sky stargazing with the area awarded the status of being one of only four Dark Sky Parks in the western world. Both the Cocoa Bean Chocolate Factory and Cream of Galloway visitor centre are a short drive away and offer an excellent day out for all of the family! Entering the reverse-level stylish house from the front enclosed patio into the hallway and through to the light and bright super-king-size zip-and-link bedroom (which can be made up as a twin on request). This room has a wall mounted TV/DVD iPod docking station and French doors leading out to the enclosed patio area with private hot tub. Followed by the lovely stylish bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. Next is the pretty twin zip-and-link bedroom (which can be made up as a super-king-size on request) with iPod docking station and wall mounted TV/DVD. Completing the ground floor is the utility area located under the stairs with a washer/dryer. Heading up the stairs you are met with the spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner area. The lounge with wonderful balcony has full length bi-folding doors and enjoys magnificent views over Carlingwark Loch. Perfect place to relax and enjoy a good film on the TV or to listen to your favourite music on the iPod docking station. The kitchen area is well-equipped with electric oven and hob dishwasher fridge/ freezer and microwave with dining area ideal for romantic and family gatherings. Also on this floor is the stylish shower room with shower and WC. Venturing outside to the fully enclosed rear patio with a lovely private hot tub to enjoy. To the front of the property is the small enclosed garden with table and chairs bike store and BBQ. With the large balcony on the first floor with seating area perfect for al fresco dining and to admire the stunning views over the Loch and beyond. There is off-road parking available for two cars directly in front of the property. For larger parties both Loch Carlingwark Lodge and Lodge 2 can be booked together they are adjoining properties and both the patio and balconies have interconnecting gates to allow access between the two properties.
