Introduction

The property converted from the village s Brewing House sits within the village of Maulds Meaburn in The Westmorland Dales National Park. This quirky cottage is romantic and makes for the perfect couples retreat. Step out of the courtyard onto the village green grazed by sheep in summer and listen to the sounds of the lazy Lyvennet river. There are many footpaths from the cottage in all directions to explore. Follow the river through the field to the village of Crosby Ravensworth with its local pub. This area is also great for cyclists with challenging and easier routes on quiet country roads. Ullswater has circular footpath trails to explore mountains to climb and boats to navigate the lake. Lowther Castle and Acorn Bank National Trust gardens are two of the many gems to discover. The front of the property has a handmade oak porch which is perfect to leave your muddy boots. On entering the property you will arrive in the well-equipped and spacious kitchen/diner with electric oven and hob fridge/freezer dishwasher and an island. At the far end you will find the dining conservatory with lovely views across the village green. To the right of the kitchen is the wet room with shower and WC. The cosy lounge has a leather sofa TV and wood burner which is just the ticket for a night in. Head up the gorgeous oak staircase to the first floor where you arrive into the high-ceilinged bedroom with king-size bed and an area in the eaves with an armchair so you can enjoy the lovely views from the bedroom window. The private courtyard has a handmade oak table and chairs alongside the wood-fired hot tub which is perfect for a night amongst the stars. There is also an allocated parking space at the front of the property for one car.
