There are great days out to be had in the surrounding Brecon Beacons from walking the highest South Wales peak PenyFan to enjoying yummy meals in one of the many country pubs in the area that s if you can tear yourself away from the bubbly tub.

The area is very good for cycling with routes for both mountain bikes and road cyclists with bike hire available in Brecon and Hay on Wye. There is a local soft play centre just outside Brecon incase of a rainy day with under 8 s and Brecon has a small independent cinema too. Sennybridge is the closest town best for the basics head to Brecon for a proper Welsh town complete with Cathedral Regimental museum cinema and mountaineering shops. Hay on Wye is a favourite with heaps of independent stores and cafes.
