Introduction

Perfectly situated so you can enjoy an idyllic rural setting yet just a short drive takes you to the nearby town of Barnstaple which has an array of amenities the characterful Pannier Market and access to the popular Tarka Trail. Just slightly further at Bideford you can jump on the Oldenburg and enjoy a day trip to Lundy Island. Beach lovers are also well-catered for with numerous beaches in the area including delightful Instow plus the surfing meccas of Croyde Woolacombe and Westward Ho! also close by. Alternatively explore the pretty coastal villages of Appledore Hartland and Clovelly. Exmoor National Park is just a short drive away where you can enjoy fabulous walks and scenery. Entering this adorable shepherds hut you will immediately find yourself in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining/sleeping area. In the sleeping area you will find a double bed which can be raised and set into the unit to allow for a dining area where you can enjoy your breakfast and morning coffee before heading out for a day exploring the area. After a busy day out and about relax in front of the wood burner and plan the following days adventures. The compact kitchen area is equipped with an electric mini oven with a two ring hob and a fridge. For your comfort there is an en-suite shower and WC providing a comfortable stay in this beautiful rustic environment. Outside of the property there is a lovely little enclosed patio area with a private hot tub and garden furniture with views of the lake and fields beyond. There is private off-road parking for one car provided at the top of the field. Guests at all the properties on this site have the freedom to wander the grounds and surrounding fields. There is a lake where you can fish (rods and tackle available) and there is also a putting green and an art room available for you to use by arrangement with the owner. Need to know: 1 sleeping area with double bed. 1 en suite shower room with shower and WC. Electric mini oven and 2 ring hob, microwave and fridge with ice compartment. Wood burner (logs included). Private hot tub. Electric heating included. Off road parking for 1 car. Regret no pets. Beach 11 miles, shop 2 miles and pub 1.5 miles. Enclosed patio area with garden furniture. Shared use of coarse fishing lake, putting green and art house (arranged direct with the owner). Property does not have a TV. Regret no children under the age of 12.
