Visit the heritage centre follow Captain s Walk and see the remains of Brecon s medieval walls or visit the South Wales Borderers Museum at Brecon Barracks. The Brecon Beacons National Park is perfect for walking enthusiasts with breath-taking landscapes to be enjoyed from riverside to mountain peak. Hire mountain bikes and enjoy pony trekking at Cantref Adventure Farm or try sailing paddle boarding and kayaking at Llangorse Lake. Discover some of Europe s finest surviving castles: Brecon Castle Abergavenny Castle and Crickhowell Castle. The perfect base for a quiet relaxing break return to this welcoming home from home after a day of discovery in the Welsh countryside. The lounge has breathtaking panoramic views across the patchwork fields into the valley beyond ideal for observing the wildlife on the lake. Settle on the leather sofas to relax with a film in the evening as the electric wood burner effect fire glows in the inglenook. There is a bathroom with a shower over the bath and a further separate WC. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and a wall mounted TV ideal for those lazy mornings whilst a further double and a twin complete the bedrooms. Outside at the front of the property the large enclosed lawned area is surrounded by a mixture of plants and border shrubs. Enclosed in a log cabin is the luxury hot tub available to use by arrangement with the owner and is the perfect place to sit and relax and enjoy the stunning scenery whatever the weather. To the rear is a lawn and patio area with garden seating and BBQ perfect for dining alfresco. There is also a safe children s play area with swing slides see-saw and outdoor toys. Just across the road is a further seating area with a rockery which overlooks a small lake in the meadow a well-established habitat for wildlife such as herons ducks and Canadian geese.
