Introduction

In the village of Craswall and the beautiful Black Mountains just north of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Pop to Longtown for local produce just a short distance down the road or take walk to the local pub for refreshments. In nearby Hay-on-Wye where you re bound to find a book on just about anything it is full of independent and local shops galleries cafes and great events including the renowned Hay-on-Wye Literary Festival. Stroll the local paths or hike to the summit of Pen-y-Fan the highest point in South Wales. Take a ride on the Brecon Beacons Mountain Railway and uncover the history at the Big Pit Mining Museum. Perfect for two to relax or enjoy an active holiday. This private off-grid camp includes the quirky arched roof carriage tepee shower eco compost loo cabins solar panels and is set on the idyllic 17 acre farm with horses donkeys and chickens. Walk up the steps into this stylish arched roof carriage with lovely little touches throughout. If you decide to eat in there s a small gas oven and a gas hob cool store and sink. The water will need to be heated on the hob for washing up though a small chore in this lovely campers setting. The folding dining table and sturdy chairs are perfectly positioned by the window to enjoy a hearty breakfast maybe use the ingredients from the welcome hamper with eggs baked beans bread butter and jam whilst overlooking the fields and Black Mountain range. After a full day out snuggle up by the wood burner listen to the radio and later retire to the comfortable full size double bed at the end of the carriage. Outside you will find the gas powered hot shower modern eco compost loo and tepee with seating and rugs on the floor to relax in. The camp fire is set up ready with all the utensils to cook on the open flame and catch up whilst dinner is being cooked. Relax around the table and chairs in the tepee or on the veranda on the carriage. Wherever you choose to sit at the camp you will be able to embrace the most spectacular mountain and countryside views. Explore this 17 acre sanctuary farm with horses donkeys and chickens. Walk down to the water hole for wild swimming meet with the owners for private donkey picnics in the woods or find out more from the resident horse listener. This is a unique and special place for a couple to retreat and unwind. There is private off-road parking for one car at the property. The owners are on-site though privacy is assured.
