Discover one of England s most breathtaking waterfalls the 70-foot tall High Force in Forest-in-Teesdale (12.6 miles) and have the area s history brought to life in the award-winning Killhope Museum Weardale Museum and High Chapel House. The vast Hamsterley Forest (14.5 miles) has mountain biking walking and horse-riding trails for all skill levels. The house once played an important role in the local train parcel delivery service sitting alongside the former Weardale Railway line. The property has been beautifully designed finished and furnished throughout with lovely artwork and fun pieces evoking its working history.
