This spectacular area offers the perfect location for exploring walking and cycling from the doorstep including the local pub/restaurant and a good range of shops a cafe and crafts in nearby Stanhope (2.7 miles) as well as a heated open-air pool for swimmers. Discover one of England s most breathtaking waterfalls the 70-foot tall High Force in Forest-in-Teesdale (12.6 miles) and have the area s history brought to life in the award-winning Killhope Museum Weardale Museum and High Chapel House. The vast Hamsterley Forest (14.5 miles) has mountain biking walking and horse-riding trails for all skill levels. The house once played an important role in the local train parcel delivery service sitting alongside the former Weardale Railway line. The property has been beautifully designed finished and furnished throughout with lovely artwork and fun pieces evoking its working history. The property has plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax both inside and outdoors.
