Introduction

Bronyn Farm is located near the village of Ferryside originally a ferry crossing on the Pilgrim s Road to Llansteffan with open views across the river towards Llansteffan and Carmarthen Bay once the heart of the Welsh cockling industry and still with a good number of locals harvesting these tasty shellfish. The village boasts a pub with local ales and live music a renowned fish and chip restaurant specialising in locally sourced food a small general store and Post Office. There is a well-connected railway station and a fantastic beach to explore with your family build sandcastles explore rock pools or relax and take in the views. A couple of miles over the hill the ancient town of Kidwelly is worth a visit where you will find the historic Kidwelly Castle and east along the coastline Pembrey Country Park boasts 500 acres to discover and ramble with its extensive woodland dry ski slope toboggan run and miles of golden sandy beach. This contemporary conversion of a Welsh stone barn retains many original features. Enter the property through the stable door into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This light airy space is furnished to a high standard throughout with vaulted ceilings wooden beams and slate flooring. The kitchen offers everything you may need during your stay and a large dining table and chairs for eight to enjoy a meal together or for an evening of board games as a family beside the large log burning stove. French doors open directly onto the lower patio area. There are three bedrooms on the ground floor. A four-poster king-size bed is in the largest room which has vaulted beamed ceilings and en-suite with whirlpool bath. TV and door leading onto the rear patio. The second bedroom has a super-king bed and en-suite shower room TV picture windows and patio doors leading out to patio and garden. The third bedroom has 2 steps down from the lounge with a super-king-size bed with en-suite shower room and TV. Stairs take you to a viewing gallery overlooking the ground floor leading to the fourth bedroom with king-size bed and en suite shower room and TV. Externally the property benefits from a fully enclosed garden laid to patio and lawn with gated access to your very own private outdoor swimming pool overlooking the orchard. After a busy day relax in your private hot tub watching the sun go down setting over the fields and River Towy. Need to know: 4 bedrooms 2 super king zip and link rooms (can be made up as a twin on request), 1 king size bedroom, and 1 king size four poster double. 4 bathrooms all en suite, 1 with bathroom with whirlpool bath with shower over, 3 shower rooms with WC. Private outdoor swimming pool open from May September (not heated). Off road parking on gravel driveway for up to 5 cars. Shop and pub 1.5 miles and beach 1 mile. The property has a natural water supply from the spring.. Wheelwright Barn can be booked together with The Coach House (ref 92678) and Bronyn Cottage (ref 92679) to accommodate up to 18 guests.
