Admire the boats on the estuary or try crabbing off the quayside. In the summer catch the ferry across the river to Instow with its sandy dog-friendly beach plus pubs/restaurants.

Within 2 miles is Westward Ho! with its golden sands popular with surfers (surf schools available) and perfect for family days out with shops arcades and eateries. Royal North Devon Golf Club is just 1.2 miles away and for the more adventurous Skern Lodge next to the property provides various activities. Walkers can access the South West Coast Path or Northam Burrows Country Park (2 miles). Other attractions include The Big Sheep The Milky Way and Wake Park all within 11 miles.
