Ashbourne is just a short drive away boasting quaint cobbled streets as well as a number of antique shops and independent eateries to enjoy sampling. Add into the mix the famous Alton Towers Theme Park and you will be spoilt as to whether to stay and enjoy this fabulous barn conversion or explore the delights of Derbyshire. Chatsworth House Haddon Hall Heights of Abraham Tissington & Monsal Trail are within easy reach. Step up into the welcoming hallway which is perfect to kick off boots and coats the beautiful oak staircase high ceilings and stone floors add to the character. Heading through to the impressive kitchen with high ceiling and sparkling granite work surfaces the kitchen island is the heart of the room and inevitably the space where everyone congregates. Rustle up a special meal for loved ones in this space with the traditional Aga fridge/freezer microwave dishwasher and Nespresso machine. There is also a handy utility space with washing machine and tumble dryer. The lounge/diner enjoys dual aspect windows where the light floods in there is an impressive fireplace with wood burner and comfortable seating so put your feet up in front of the TV and enjoy the space. There is a dining table large enough for eight and a nearby piano if someone can treat you to a tune. There is a downstairs shower room with shower and WC and a bathroom with impressive freestanding bath situated in the centre of the room so don t forget your bubble bath and WC. The ground floor super-king-size zip-and-link bedroom (which can be presented as a twin by request at time of booking) is the perfect place to get a restful nights sleep with crisp linens and subtle tones to surround you. Heading up the first flight of stairs leads you to the first floor area with reading chairs and an array of books there is a mezzanine lounge with sofas and TV. Along the corridor is a super-king-size zip-and-link bedroom (which can be presented as a twin by request at time of booking) boasting subtle tones and plenty of wardrobe space this room is home away from home. Heading up the second oak staircase from the ground floor to the first floor is a bedroom with super-king-size zip-and-link bed (which can be presented as a twin by request at time of booking) with additional single bed where you can lie under the huge skylight and watch the stars. There is a classic table football table for some competitive fun surrounded by an oak bannister. Outside is where you will find your own bubbling hot tub what a wonderful place to watch the stars. There is also a spacious shared courtyard with seating to enjoy lazy evenings in the summer sun. There is ample off-road parking.
