Introduction

Nestled at the foot of the Skirrid on the eastern edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Wye Valley. It is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and relax in the great Welsh outdoors. The area is also steeped in history with some of Europe s finest surviving castles Abergavenny Castle set against the spectacular hills and Crickhowell Castle a prominent feature within a small market town or if you want more of an adventure try canoeing or kayaking on the River Wye. The area is also host to a vibrant events calendar to include Usk show and Abergavenny food festival. Take in the stunning views across the Skirrid and surrounding mountain ranges before you step up onto the terrace of this hand crafted shepherds hut. This wooden hut sympathetically finished with hard wood windows and doors offers cosy accommodation. Inside the front door you will find a living area with lounge/kitchen/diner and sleeping area with a wood burner to snuggle up in front of after a day exploring the area. The lounge area has chairs where you can relax and listen to music on the radio along with a small table and chairs for a simple supper for two. The kitchen area has a gas hob fridge and kettle. In the evening snuggle up in the comfy double bed and look out at the stars. You will also find a shower room with a shower and WC. After a day exploring why not enjoy a soak in your own private hot tub there is also an area set with table and chairs for al fresco dining and a charcoal BBQ; guests will have to provide their own charcoal. There is allocated parking for one car.
